Comment : Banned in Norway. Used in canned cherries, frozen fruit, caramelized mixtures, cakes, baked goods, snacks. Can cause sensitivity to light, lead to increased levels of thyroid hormones and symptoms of hyperthyroidism. In experiments with rats, it was found to cause tumors of the thyroid.
